...we're going to be there for a while.

Things I did today:

• bought a raincoat
• Packed, more or less
• Charged Conrad, the big green iPod.

Things I need to do tomorrow:

• Call Discover
• Finish packing
• Find toothpaste
• Charge Edwin
• Charge the camera (the camera has no name)
• Print reservation information
• Print plane ticket
• Find a travel bag
• Pick a laptop case
• Flag travel book

And probably a thousand others. Packing is interesting when you're going to be gone for a significant amount of time (I think five weeks qualifies) and you don't want to bring hardly anything. Thankfully, I already have the best suitcase ever, but filling it is tricky when you're trying not to bring much. Just clothes, mostly. And my new raincoat. If I'm feeling froggy, I'll take a picture.

Also, the title of this blog is in reference to the lead-in's I use too often: so, also, it's funny because, the thing about it is, etc. Sometimes I feel like making fun of it makes it excusable. It usually doesn't, but maybe I'll find a lot of things about Japan. It's a passable gimmick, if nothing else.

In less than thirty-six hours, I'll be on my way to Japan.
